Top 4 ?

There were seasons when we finished 5th but we were never close to top 4 with 10+ points difference between us and 4th place team, so regardless of where we will finish, remaining in the mixture of those teams fighting for 4th for as long as it takes is a very important step for our future

Watched Chelsea tonight and they are at a far higher level than we are. Not surprising considering the loot they have spent over the past several years. We are several years behind them in development.

Let’s get into Europe with the team we have, then worry about getting the players we need later during the pre-season transfer window.

Anyone saying that we are not ready for Europe with our current team, so do not want us there next season are not true supporters. That attitude reminds me of a Brighton fan I know after the RS beat them 6-1 in the FA Cup, in which he said he didn’t want them to get promoted that season as that match “proved” to him they were not ready and to wait a later season when they have the players to put up a challenge in the Premier League.

Not wanting your team to succeed for any reason is just pathetic.

Europe will attract new players.

Support the team. COYB

Not up for a slanging match, but there is an opposing view that is sceptical as to whether playing in the Europa League has any draw at all for top footballers. Especially for a club, who in all likelihood, won't win the competition. The Europa League brings in decent money, but I hold the view that it isn't worth the adverse affect it will have on domestic league performance.

It goes around in circles for me. Yes it has the potential to disrupt your domestic season, but if you don’t qualify for Europa league, it will seem like a failure and the players will not be getting that experience.

Fair play

I think it will be good experience and we should never want to miss out on it.

Theres no better proof of how different things are now, and about our potential to be top 4 than this chart. This season with Don Carlo at the helm, we have been one of the best team in the league in big matches. Its the lower end teams we have struggled with and that speaks to our lack of creative players to break them down, outside of James.

Yes, and did you see their centre-forward Timo Werner, hasn't scored in 15 games, yet is preferred to
Tammy Abraham and rightly so. I would break the bank on Werner to replace DCL. Werner is class.

A win takes us 6th tonight level on points with West Ham having played the same number if games as all them around us. If we win by 7 or 6 but score 9 we go 5th. Ha ha. We will be 3 points behind Chelsea and it will be game on. Given how horrendous our goal difference is I'll just take the win my any means but would like a couple of goals as it will make me less stressed.

I think we've missed some games where we could have really rattled a few goals in.

Most important thing though is just to be scoring enough goals to win the game. Can't be doing with another game like the Spurs one where it really should have been about 5-2/6-2
