Rafael would adore it. It would be yet another excuse that the highest-spending (net) PL manager could use to explain his failure to win a title (I do believe that the £80m United receive for Ronanldo will push Rafael about £70m over SAF in the net spend stakes).

He's fire-proof at Liverpool. And if you look at his return in terms of trophies won per £s spent/time in THAT job, that's some trick he's pulled off. To get a new 4 year contract after coming up empty handed three seasons on the bounce is incredible. The old Liverpool boards of your John Smith's and Peter Robinson's would have had the imposter down the road a long time ago. The good news is that as long as these phony fans of theirs keep on worshipping at his feet he'll be here until 2014.

The day the Ronaldo to real story broke, my Red-shi*e work-mate was lapping it up saying that's it next year's our year...etc...etc - then I actually joked about utd using the money to buy the ladyboy, he just laughed it off - 'as if' he said.
