What I was surprised about on Saturday is the amount of fans that left the ground early, and missing goals in the process.

I was parked next to the bobby's in the central reservation outside the Arkles pub.

Pretty much between the bus and the cyclist.

There was a constant stream of fans leaving early, many running so as possibly to beat the queue.

I found this quite bewildering given the score line.

Went into the Arkles for 10 minutes during the game, and looked a decent pub, with lots of tv's and screens to watch the game.

Loads of Hull fans in there too before kick off which I thought was quite nice to see.

They had to leave early to catch their connecting flights back to Oslo

The Arkles was the first ever pub, I visited in Liverpool, back in 1994. At the time I was staying at Tina's Guesthouse on Anfield Road. Had a big view on the [Poor language removed]'s stadium, when looking out the bedroom window. Stayed there for three more times afterwards, but made sure I had a room in the rear of the house, where I could see Goodison Park. Much better view that.:D

Anyway, when I went to the Arkles and the barman/pub owner(?) heard to his surprise this Dutchie was an Evertonian rather than
a [Poor language removed] supporter, he couldn't stop talking. Turned out to be, he was a massive Evertonian and didn't like looking out of the windows of his pub. Was the 2nd Evertonian I spoke to in Liverpool (also the 2nd person mind you:P).

The first one, was the cabby who had to drive me to Tina's Guesthouse. He was winding me up and pretending he didn't understand me and never heard of Anfield Road. It was only when I told him I was there for my first Goodison match ever, he started smiling and brought me to my destination. (y)

I love the fact we have alot of scousers supporting us but its abit of a myth that we have shed loads more than Liverpool . Id say its about 50 / 50 . When I am out and about in Liverpool I see just as much Liverpool shirts as I do Everton . They do have alot of foreign supporters who come regular to support them whereas we just have a shed load of Welsh people

To be honest Im not arsed where our supporters come from, we've got a strong local identity which is great but its a massive compliment to have fans who support us from outside the city.

I only say that [Poor language removed] to them about Scandies as they bite.
