3-5-2 didn't work well last week as such. Because football, tactics and formations aren't as simple as worked=win, didn't work = loss. At times the players didn't seem to sure what to actually do, and Stoke really should have scored at least once which would have changed thinking totally.
Not that it was a distaster, it served its main purpose of allowing us to win the majority of long balls up to their forwards, and yeah, i'd like to see it used more to allow the players to get the hang of it (as long as we use it properly).
But away to Spurs right now isn't the right game to play it, you change your formations depending on opposition rather than stick to the same thing over and over again (4-5-1).
And i'm pretty sure we'd be better off with 4-5-1 on Sun.
