Confirmed that he's out until at least the 21st of April.

"It shouldn't be as bad as it looks on the image.

"There is a big, big possibility that, if we stay positive, he will be fit for the Man City game (on 21 April) and it will only take him out of two games."

For those of you who like stats, we haven't won four league games in a row since March 9th of 2008, when we beat Reading, City, Portsmouth and Sunderland.

About time we did it again....

The sort of stuff that should be in a good preview.

CHICO OFF
GINGE ON

Is it wrong that I secretly prayed for Bale to get injured tonight? Hopefully Spurs will be suffering a major European hangover and we can show them up to be the one man band they really are (providing he doesn't make some sort of miracle recovery) COYB!!!

It's in a way like when you’ve been having a boss time in your twenties, tripping the light fantastic. Suddenly you starting contemplating fiscal mortality and the end game on which you realise that all your mates you’ve been mocking for being pinned down by birds, mortgages and kids have played a good game as there’s a scarcity of nine-out-of-ten-girls left. You’ve got psycho Jane from accounts who sends disturbing flirty text messages, the old squeeze on Facebook who’s gaining more weight than a youthful polar bear in summer and pissy Wendy as the only options for a long term partner and domestic bliss. It’s very probably that the immediate and mid-term future shall involve genre surfing on xhamster, eating different variations of the same food and trying to immerse yourself in a hobby to dull the pain. When the laptop screen saver comes on and you see photos of you leaping off a bridge in New Zealand – bungee attached – without a care in the world it’s going to momentarily send you over the edge.

Outstanding summary of a mid-life crisis right there sir. Super preview overall.

As you say we have a chance if we get into them from the off especially given their absentees.

Being Everton something calamitous will happen though but I could see us getting a point.

Ace, bravo lid.

We should beat these now shouldn't we? Still don't think we will tbh.

2-1 Tottenham.

Howard

Heitinga - Jagielka - Distin
Coleman - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Baines

Gibson - Osman
Mirallas

Jelavic - Anichebe

The concern is that Parker, Dembele, Sigurdsson and Holtby could swamp us in the middle of the park. Moyes might sacrifice Anichebe for someone like Neville to help even up the numbers. I'd stick with the system though, especially as we're lacking width and flair otherwise.

Tar lid. I'm conscious that I'm getting a little too into these lately and they might not resonate with most.

End of season out of material anxiety I think

If anything, I'd sacrifice Jelavic for Barkley or Oviedo really, we need Anichebe upfront to tire the centre backs out

3 CBs simply doesn't work, nor 2 up front. As boring as it is, we are best with 4-5-1.

Jelavic
Mirallas, Gibson, Osman, Barkley, Anichebe
Baines, Distin, Jags, Coleman
Howard

Possibly Naismith for either Barkley/Anichebe imo
