Under licence

Adidas take an agreed wedge, JD takes the rest.

Big incentive to make them as cheap as possible and flog them high, hence why they are crap.

Anybody can have their own colourways made, if they place a large enough order (30k pairs if I remember right), made out of cheaper materials and obviously thrown together.

I had some 'JD Exclusive' Samba, white leather with gold - I'm not exaggerating when I say they lasted 3 weeks before they were unwearable, after normal use.

the real black sambas were the best indoor footy trainers.. yeah

gazzelles for footy .. no chance. they are just for poncing round in, and not even good for that!

The best indoor trainers I ever had for everything, were Adidas Kick. ( as a teenager )

The re issues since have been abominations, more suited to fairground workers and other assorted pond dwellers.

It`s no wonder the originals are rare as anything with a price to match.

I`ve been after a pair for years, but I won`t pay 500 notes for trainers !!

also eyeing up some terrex which will be completely suitable for winter.

Pair the black ones with some black North Face, get some plasticine behind your ears to make them stick out, go and live in a very dark place for 6 months and live off pot noodles so you get sick and pale...and then you'll be ready to hangout outside the offy smoking "bifters", drinking Skol Super, and getting a BJ off the 15 year old rat-faced local bike who who wants some Lambrini bought for her

Blue ones are quite nice though

now on my second pair of terrex shoes for walking the dogs. waterproofing is shocking (should have got goretex ones) and the inner linings round the heels have perished very quickly. won't buy again

Wowser, the most eloquent post I’ve read all day.

Ended up getting the Blue Marathon Boost & they are like walking round on marshmallows, in fact they make the Marathon TR that I also got feel very uncomfy. theyre a larger fot as well, The Tr i got 8 1/2's and the boost I got 8's but would probably have got 7 1/2's tbh if theyd had them. I ended up having to treck in to Bold st as was originally going to order 8 1/2's online but they sold out which is just as well as thed have fallen off my feet. How can to trabs of the same brand which are essentially the same show with different sole units have such a disparity in the sizing. Bargain at £40 though as they are still £110 at a lot of places.

Anyone tell us where I can get a pair of LA Trainer triple black at a reasonable price...size 6 1/2 or 7 ....not paying 80 snots at JD tho...ta.
