Apps - We just filled a car with petrol & 4-5 of us would pile in & off we would go if it was pay at the turnstile - the Home James driver in the social club always gave us the best routes - Coventry City was a beast of a ground to find we got lost & ended up in the town centre - one smart cookie in the car shouted stop Coventry City fans with scarfs on at a bus stop we dragged one in offering them a lift - he was deaf & dumb - we slung him out & got a verbal one at the next bus stop we were 15 minutes away from the ground we scored right at the end for a win too
No posh motorways either - going to Leeds it was over the Pennines in the fog - with one of us walking in front of the car pulled into a village pub drank it dry lovely bitter ale - the locals came in for last orders - we had emptied the barrels no drink drive laws back then
- The moaning sods complained to the landlord to put a new Barrel of bitter on - he was having none of it -
