you can get a train from stanstead airport to liverpool lime street with one change over half way takes a bout 4 hours have a look at that i did that when we played villareal and couldnt get aflight from speke

Also at nighttime? That's why I am thinking of one nights drive - how difficult can that be? Well, if there is heavy traffic I will be wiser afterwards.....:P

apologies, apologies. please accept my gracious apologies.

Maybe you have some of the filthy richness of the southerns running in your blood? :P maybe you're even "soverign"?

I never forget when I went to London in 2003 and got the advise as I left the Westminster Abbey on an early sunday just before noon - that to get to see the House of Parliament I just had to walk around to corner down to an opening arch where a couple of police officers stood.
I did as told and me and my friend were of course in our Nike and our EFC scarfs, when we walked in they asked us where we were from and I said "Denmark" the lady went nuts and shouted "Get out". The two officers came running and asked what was wrong? I had no idea - when one of them looked at me and said "It's not for the public, look" - above the gate was printed: Sovereign's entrance..........

I guess blue scarf - and the blue blood that is in me was not fine enough :D

I'm not quite sure though what sovereign means though: Royal, half-royal, arrogant politician, or lord of whatever downthere???

I was also just wandering: Why are we playing Chelsea on a monday night instead of a saturday afternoon? And the r/s are playing on London anyway so why on a working day? Anyone?

If your travelling through the night you should be ok. M6 Sth all the way to the end then pick up the A14. Follow that till you see signs for Cambridge and the M11. The M11 will take you all the way to Stansted.

Another underseved red for this post telling me thats the wrong way. I've been on the road long enough to know where the [Poor language removed] I'm going. The AA auto route that was posted will take him down to the M3. We're talking Stansted not Gatwick. Anyway I'm sick of getting reds for [Poor language removed] all so this will be my last post. Take care decent people I'm off.

You should be okay if you're driving at night, and keep to a steady 70 mph (that'll translate to about 110 kph, which is the Danish limit). One thing to bear in mind, English motorways are busier than Danish ones. So even though it is night, there will still be a fair amount of traffic knocking around (especially as its Christmas). But the English motorway also has 3 lanes, which makes overtaking easier. I find the Danish motorways a bit irritating because it tends to be that whenever you try and overtake a lorry, some **** in BMW fixes himself to your arse until you're back in the slow lane. One last thing, the quality of all roads in the UK tends to be completely and utterly [Poor language removed]. They're not like in DK, so bear that in mind when driving.

:unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure: it wasnt me by the way.
me thinks someone is taking the rep system a little seriously.

If I consider cities would it be wrong to go for:

Manchester - Stoke-on-Trent - Birmingham (M6): 200 km.
Birmingham - Coventry (M1): 29 km.
Coventry - Northampton (M1): 53 km.
Northampton - Milton Keynes (A421) - Bedford (A428) - Cambridge (M11): 85 km.
Cambridge - Stanstead: 45 km.

Total: 360 km. in 8 hours during níght time = 45 km/h in average.

I know the above is seriously a mental illness in my brain to do it but WTF!!!!

if that is the driving route then yes it would be wrong, head for m6 from liverpool (a580 or m62 would get you there) then head down south, you would pass stoke on the m6. manchester is 17 miles the other side of the m6 from liverpool, the m6 is about 1/2 way between the 2.

No way in hell!!!!!!!!!!

Arh come on mate! I have posted a pic of my grandad (taken in 1983 - 25 years ago) in another thread - as I went to the United game I had several officials try to pick out the point where the picture of my grandad was taken - none of them could identify the spot and told me stadium had been rebuild on the front side - perhaps the picture was taken at the Finch Farm?????

Here is the picture:

email ian ross the pic and ask him to id the part of goodison so you can be snapped in the same place, the guy you asked was probably just a bit of a tit
