Best pub for aways? Think there's one over the road from Rock Ferry station iirc
The main pub for away fans is the Prenton Park Hotel, which is situated just across the road from the away turnstiles. This normally has a good mix of home and away supporters. There are also a number of other pubs in walking distance of the ground. The Mersey Clipper, behind the Main Stand tends to be more for home fans, whilst The Sportsmans Arms on Prenton Road East is more welcoming towards visiting supporters. Otherwise alcohol is available in the away end.
David Nicholson a visiting Carlisle United fan adds; 'A Tranmere steward said that the Mersey Clipper was away fan friendly and although there were no problems in there, it was a bit of a nightmare to get served. We then went across to the Prenton Park Hotel which was as busy but the service was much smoother. Plus its a nicer pub and more hospitable than the Mersey Clipper. The Chinese takeaway round the corner from the pub was also doing a roaring trade and the fish and chips were delicious'.
All fans please note, it is a criminal offence to drink alcohol on the streets of Birkenhead, you may find yourself being arrested if you do.

First team squad mate, it's a first team fixture. Anyone who wasn't in the WC (maybe ENgland players are back already?) plus some young lads, McAleny, Garbutt, Stanek maybe? So we're taking a strong squad then?

Spot on cash turnstiles in operation according to TranmereWhy are people flapping, I've been there quite a few times for friendlies and we have never come close to taking 5000 there, and they won't come close to selling out either so tickets in their end won't be an issue.

Probably not but in the past when I've been there with Everton there's been Blue's dotted about the whole ground which was nowhere near full.So do you guys foresee many empty seats in the Everton sections?
