I'm extremely hopeful, gullible and confident of said scenario and can't wait to bitterly rip into Stoke fans when 'qiri is frustrating/pales in comparison to 'Yarmz'.

But surely that was part of Shaqiri's selling point - that he is very experienced 23-yr-old, playing at Bayern and Inter and winning trophies? Still think Yarmolenko will be better, though.

That's something he hasn't been doing all that much, mate. Hence his keenness to look for a new club.

Really like part 1 of that, not so keen on part 2...
After that game yesterday, why do we have to sell anyone, I really hope this info is bull, but I know they have got a lot right before.

And lets face it, our board are all about selling players to fund transfers so they don't have to put their hands in their pockets and invest in the club.

He's a genuine quality player who would probably cost a fee in excess of 10 mil.

Take that into consideration and then look deep, deep down.

There is your answer.

:(

100%.
Ive seen two very good sources have said its a lot more along than just 'considering a move'.

1 Privately messaged me earlier.
The other on the Everton Forum from the main man.

Interesting. He'd be great for us and I think he'd be boss in the PL.

He wanted to stick with Inter, Inter wanted rid - that's something I've absorbed from somewhere in the midst of all the excitement over him don't know if it's true. He also had 80 appearances in 3 years with Bayern and was in their treble unit but there must be some reason why those teams keep selling him.

I'd just argue that he's more 'proven' than Yarmolenko in that sense, for the sake of being even-handed/awkward - but him tearing 11 new orifices against us in the Europa is proof enough for me.

....if we are truly after somebody like Yarathingy I wonder why we leave it so late to bid, it's never straightforward where we are concerned.

I can only assume that, rather like a good soap, our chairman enjoys the twists and drama which comes from leaving things to chance.
