Yarmalenko, Deulofeu, Mori, Henen, Cleverley & Holgate equate to about 25 million in spending.
We have probably brought in maybe a million off Long

Not many other teams in the league have spent that net if you think about it (Stoke have sold Begovic & Nzonzi for 15 million, Villa have sold Benteke & Delph 40 million, Chelsea have sold Cech & Filipe Luiz 25 million, RS have sold Serling 49 million)

We spent around 32 million last year with no out goings, although we sold Anichebe, fellaini & Jelavic previously

Even with the sky money it is a fair amount to spend with out bringing any money in, this is not a "we are spending money so stones must be going" thread. But surely we need to try and get some players off the books to get our net spend down and keep the finances in check?

I've actually been impressed with Cleverley in both pre-season, and the first two games of this.

I'll admit that I was one that was hoping he wouldn't sign, but I think he's going to be one of those unsung hero's who is important to the team in the way we play.

The boy puts in a shift, can nick the ball in defensive areas and get the ball moving quickly on the counter.

I think he'll be important especially with so much attacking talent if we get Yarmolenko to add to Barkley, Del, Mirallas and Lukaku.

The likes of Cleverley and McCarthy will be hugely important in our system.

Imo there's one for one of McGeady/Pienaar to go off the wage bill, saved a bit on Alcaraz/Distin, then no idea what'll happen with Gibson.

McGeady wouldn't give us much transfer fee wise but just to get him off the books would be nice

Possibly but when our injury curse kicks in, he's liable to nick a goal or two if we need one so I'm not sure he's surplus yet.

He won't be discarded. Gotta remember it might take a bit for Yarmolenko (if he signs) to settle in, and given our dire injury record there'll be plenty of chances for him.
