I understand what you're saying, but given what's gone on with Stones, it would put the club in a very hypocritical position to be commenting on other clubs' players as our target(s). If it's Everton's policy to pursue other players without bandying their names about in the papers , I'm ok with that- provided something gets done in the end.

I reckon it depends on the player, if it's one like Lennon that relies on his pace and athleticism, swerve him, but a decent central midfielder or center half that plays on intelligence, possibly buy....and also....

Rodriguez and Mori have been known about for over a week now though. So its gonna be tough to a sort out deals out of the blue for any top players over a bank holiday weekend.
