I just refuse to believe this caricature of them that they are *that* cack-handed.... either they're smart enough to orchestrate the siphoning/witholding of funds and mismanagement of our club, whilst duping the fans (and therefore smart enough to put out the right message when signing a player)... or they are not smart enough to do any of the above and have erroneously spent a ridiculous amount of money on the wrong area, #Evertonthat.

Not saying that that's your belief or anything mate - I just think people get caught up in the skepticism of the board - this fella might be a bargain or he might be crap but I don't think it's that much of a Benny Hill sketch at FF that we haven't got the priorities lined up if we're spending this much and letting people know.

Ha no my beliefs stretch mainly to the PR side of the conspiracy theories - and it's more Mr elstone I blame here, we so rarely disclose fees that to do so there must be a reason. Hopefully it's so it can be added onto the large amount we spend later on a playmaker!

That's how we should play it - if we have got a decent pool of cash, we should act like we haven't got a pot to urinate in. In any other walk of life you'd do that. You wouldn't walk in to a Mercedes showroom with a briefcase full of wonga chained to your wrist then try to haggle over the price.

I don't know if you're being serious, but I wouldn't want to see him go for precisely that reason - you need fighters in the dressing room improving team spirit and I think we're lacking them at the moment.
