With Martinez buddying up with Ruud Van Nistelrooy at the last World Cup, you would think having spent time in and around the Dutch camp, that he would have taken a closer look at Wijnaldum. Hopefully, we're not outbid by Newcastle and we can find a way to structure the deal.

Wijnaldum is a very good player, but like some have said, not sure if he's the type we need. He usually plays as Barkley does, making driving runs forward from behind the striker. Not a creative player as such, more of a box-to-box player. Can play wide left, and would improve us, so if it's true then he'd be a great signing, but I think it'd indicate we'd be going in somewhat of a different direction than Martinez originally said.

Actually really hope we get wijnaldum, good quality young player! We definitely have 15 mil stuffed away somewhere! And I'd rather the money goes on a player like him than a 3rd choice cb!
