No passport needed.Me and the Mrs are planning spending a year in Europe next year. Now that my UK passport is no longer any use (thanks @peteblue ) It seems I have to apply for a one year visa. Does anyone have any experience of doing this and can guide me as to the process?
I don't want the 90/180 day visa as we will be staying for well over 3 months, but apparently there are longer term ones available?
Any help greatly appreciated
Good shout this. Mooch across Europe and spend the necessary time in Romania and Bulgaria. Certainly time spent in Romania does not count as time spent in the schengen zone. You can spend up to 90 consecutive days there. Same with Bulgaria too - https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/bulgaria/entry-requirementsCan you do a border run via Gibraltar (or a country outside of shengen) to refresh the 90 day visa?
Except my grandad was ItalianNo passport needed.
Tell them yer granpa, when he liberated Europe, didnt need any paperwork to get shot at by Nazi's. That always goes over well.
How sweet, it's at least 30 years since anyone called me a youthOh the naivety of youth

Boris and his EU passport holding family. What sort of people would want to deny themselves this privilege mate? Sounds like an act of self sabotage. The mind boggles.
