Not a race debate. It's a Davek being an absolute pleb debate. Although with lack of debate.

He's come on here, in a thread where any normal person would be disgusted and just shrugged his shoulders and gone ' Its not as if the English arn't racist'.

Tbh he MUST be the king of popcorn. I can't believe anyone would be that stupid.

Well of course there are, but it's hardly the point is it? This has nothing to do with England or whether it has fans that are racist or not.

This is about a very particular unsavoury incident and making a statement like that sounds like he is exusing them.

And for the record, even if it is really NOTHING to do with it, England is the most tolerant country on earth compared to Turkey.

Ok, WTF man. And the other quote "Turks are the worst people ever." Guess I'm included in that statement.

My family is from there, and that is an incredibly ignorant statement you made. For a country that is an incredible melting pot of cultures and religions, that statement is not true.

I encourage you to visit. Because that country is full of some genuinely nice and accepting people including my extended family that have ZERO tolerance of behavior such as is shown on the video.

I'd like to remind you that men were banned from matches recently. It's about hooligan behavior at matches by a section of the populace that should be kicked out and banned. Not a sudden pointing of a finger at a giant bunch of "intolerant" and racist Turks that are the "worst people ever".

There are thugs everywhere. In the MLS cup this weekend a barrage of batteries and cups and water bottles were thrown at Landon Donovan and David Beckham.

Come on man. I take serious offense to these statements.

EDIT: And banning the clubs and country does nothing for the players and fans that want no part in such behavior. The Fed took an incredibly strong stance this year against this behavior BY BANNING MEN from matches. If that isn't a reaction, I don't know what is. Perhaps Sepp should listen.

He tried to explain the situation, but the melting pot that Turkey is, race issues, religious issues, cultural back grounds, old historic grievences, even tribal issues, made Northern Ireland, (20 odd years ago mind), in his words, a model of a society. It's a minority of fans that are retarded and idiots and don't speak for the mass populace. In general there are fewer Africans in Turkey than in other nations. But this behavior is not "normal."

Chill, Kay, he didn't say that to offend you, I'm sure.

Every country has its proper tits of people, and you are probably right - yours does have a lot of nice and accepting ones, but as someone who lives, like, a 100km away from Turkey - you are also not very correct. I mean you turned out to be great, so has your family, guessing they taught you and things like that, but not everyone in Turkey is so peachey to other people and nationalities. As a Bulgarian I can tell you from first hand experience - some Turks even come here and treat us like slaves still, because of the Ottoman empire. When we're there it's an absolute balls of a treatment. Racist/slavish remarks all over the shop!

Not saying we're any different, to be fair I don't like Turks either, but there are a lot of sound ones which I have nothing against. The ones that come to our country and act like they still own it and treat us with zero respect do my head in and give your country a bad name around here.

Plus I'm kinda biased, as we were poorly and corruption-based ran by a Turkish party for quite some time, and there's still a lot of traces from that... FFS they even won by getting buses of Turkish people to Bulgaria just to vote illegally!

Sorry if I come around as a bell or something. Nothing against you, just, you know, speaking my mind. Sorry again, mate!

I'd say the minority were the people who didn't throw stuff at Eboue to be honest mate.
