I can recommend Undercover, set around the Belgium and Holland border based on trure events, two undercover cops posing as a couple arrive at a holiday park , to befriend a top drug gang boss and his wife to infiltrate his organisation ,which manufacturers E tablets,
language Dutch or English

There‘s a second series and a spin off film, about the life of the young up and coming gangster, Ferry.

Second series is much more violent than the first !

Awesome series, also recommend.

As well as Yellowstone dropping today on Paramount+, there’s the new Taylor Sheridan show Tulsa King starring Stallone as a recently released mafia capo which I’m looking forward to watching later.

Sorry to say this Eggs but it drops off a bit of a cliff midway through season 2. I do agree though that the first season was really good, just a shame how it ends up going.

….yep, I have to agree. I’m finding that out for myself.

Finding Mandalorian 2nd season a real dull slog. Is it even considered decent? Are the last episodes worth holding on for in regards to the overall story?

The problem with season two is that its essentially a "guest starring this week on the Mandalorian!" type of deal. That's it. Half the season is just filler and the other half is fan service cameos. Literally half of the episodes are built around cameos. All cool moments but not really anything of substance story wise.

I am trying to figure out why I enjoyed the first season

It was fairly enjoyable on first viewing. A return to basics and for me at least, it felt like it washed away some of the nasty aftertaste that the sequels left. Its only when you go back and rewatch that you see that its not that great. Its ok, but nothing special. The fact that its loved so much is a reflection on how badly Disney have mishandled the franchise so far. People are looking for things to love about the new stuff to the point that anything that isn't bad automatically becomes amazing!

Just finished The English (all episodes on iPlayer) with Emily Blunt. A lot better than I was expecting, really enjoyed it. Worth checking out

I am watching this now. Just finished the second series. Really like some parts but then a lot goes on with not much happening. It starts very well I think then goes a bit flat then comes to life again.
I have heard it really comes together in season 3.

Started waching Upright with Tim Minchin and Milly Alcock after seeing an advert for season 2 which starts soon. It's really good. Great performances by the two leads and lots of good supporting characters.

Trying the wire again. This is the 3rd attempt and this time I have made it to the end of the 1st series. Is starting to grow on me

Don't know how long it wasc since you finished first series but if its more than a few weeks make sure you watch the final two episodes then start on the second series immediately. It's well worth it.
