Yeh literally the only thing it has going for it is Anthony Hopkins, trailer looks proper budget. Peacock making it doesn't inspire faith either.

Someone needs to make a new Rome show, still annoyed at how the HBO/BBC one ended. If they just make something like that again but with today's production standards... it would surely be TV gold.
I'm hoping Shogun sets a trend of massively expensive historical epics.

I'm genuinely surprised how the general audience had gone for it as historical (at least non-American "history") and subtitled stuff doesn't usually find an audience in the US.
 

Has anyone seen the first few episodes of Sugar with Colin Farrell? I am debating whether to invest some time in that.

I've only seen episode 1 so far, not sure if 2 is out yet, but I really enjoyed it. Started off insanely slow though but just had to get past that.

Read a few reviews though that say there's a crap twist mid-season and it tails off.
