TV Series

This has been surprisingly good television. You have to take Clarkson's persona with a pinch of salt but this series highlights just how important, challenging and vulnerable agriculture is in this country.

Haven't seen anything as funny as episode 2 with the pigs for a long time ...
Crikey. Not many laughs in episode 4 ...

…I genuinely couldn’t watch anything with that man in.

Lots of people say that and I quite often disagree with Jeremy Clarkson's expressed opinions. Ignoring the regular contrived situations he engineers, the way he presents is often entertaining IMHO. I think this farming project is a genuine attempt to do something worthwhile?

Maybe, though, I just admire seeing a consummate wind up merchant perfecting his craft.

My bad ...

Finished the first episode of Shogun. My god this is great. Can't wait for the rest. Hiroyuki Sanada gives off serious Toshiro Mifune vibes for me, surely there's some inspiration there. May it continue!

Edit: A quick google search shows me that Mifune played the same role in a series with the same name from 1980, so I suppose this is a remake? Might have to watch the original.
