TV Series

I think we need wait until @chrismpw has given his expert opinion, before labelling the new Dr Who as the nemesis of white straight men.
Haven't seen the new series. Didn't watch Whittaker either - not because it was a woman, but because of the horrendous misandry and lecturing in the first season - plus the horrendous acting (Dr Who shouldn't be a mouthbreather).

I've no issues with Dr Who being gay, if that's what the beeb have decided this week - but I just want it to be story centred, rather than a lecture about how the script writers want us to think, if I'm to try it again. Having said that, there is very little I watch on free to air TV these days - the bbc is just so 1 note.

My biggest issue with Dr Who is - if the tardis is so enormous inside, with, presumably lots of storage - why does the Dr wear the same outfit every week?

I watched it recently and enjoyed it.

The only downside was other than maybe Michael not one character was likeable. I think we are supposed to like Amanda but shes a proper knob.
I think that's the point. They're all technically gangsters end of the day, so not especially 'good' people by many measures. Michael just seems to be that one character that, when placed amongst the others, highlights their egos because he doesn't really have one himself.

The first episode was entertainingly creepy, must admit I never guessed the ending - The Stepford Wives Revisited.

Think Michael the true nutter, he does most of the killing but feels nothing for doing it.

Watching this again.
The first series about OJ Simpson is just some quality TV.
The third is about Monica Lewinsky and...stuff.

You leave Jimmy Carr out of this, he's gone through enough trauma. Maybe it was euphemistic and the big lass was a manifestation of the taxman.

Been watching Bodkin on Netflix. I’m a fan of Will Forte after the last man on earth. It’s nothing to write home about so far but it’s an easy watch. And the podcast joke in the first episode still tickles me.

Also halfway through Cabinet of Curiosities. Trailers make it seem like it’s actually meant to be scary but it isn’t. Again, feels fairly easy watching but I’m enjoying it. 1st episode was probably the best so far.

Watched doctor who. I quite like Ncuti and Millie. Wasn’t a fan of the story in this one though. And they were doing what felt like more explaining than usual, but I think that’s just them looking to bring in a new, younger audience. And ultimately. It is a kids/family show.

Started watching The Gathering last night on C4, mainly based on the fact that it was all based in and around Liverpool and the Wirral, plus it was written by the people who did Line of Duty.

What an utter load of plop, switched it off after 30 mins. It`s a long time since I`ve done that, it was just an utter disjointed mess.
