Its not really a remake though, the storyline is kind of its own thing but with references/homages to the original book/film.

I take your point, but I did not call DOTJ a remake, I did suggest remakes for other films though. It’s definitely not for me as it seems horribly miscast but I get that some folks will think it great.

Getting a tad silly now that there’s no mention of Batman considering the 2 big crime families and Oz, who he knows, have been blowing up Gotham for weeks

Show’s 10/10 though

I thought once Sofie set the bomb off, and Penguin appeared from the rubble he could have just looked into the sky and seen the signal. That’s all they had to do.

It is, it's good they haven't "clea Ed up" the main character either who is not particularly likeable

Yeah, it's insane. All these kind of things exploit the main person I suppose, same with the S-Town podcast which was a bit similar
