TV Series

I’d watched a couple of What we do in the shadows a while back, enjoyed it but never went back to it. I’ve watched it from start to finish the last couple of weeks and I really enjoyed it. Not for everyone, silly humour but Matt Berry and Kayvan Novak as always are fantastic. Mark Proksch is a real stand out as Colin, some truly brilliant one liners. I think I’m in love with Natasia Demetriou but it could be her powers of hypnosis

It’s great, only slight issue for me was the last couple of seasons weren’t quite on par with the earlier ones, but generally very enjoyable and funny

I definitely agree with you on the last season, especially with the likes of Jerry who came from nowhere and seemed to be a big thorn in their side only for him to not be in a couple of episodes until the episode based on The Warriors.

The Baby Colin Robinson storyline with Laszlo I thought was very good the only issue with it is for a large part of the season you didn’t have Colin Robinson in it at all. I’m already missing having it to throw on every night 😂

@COYBL25 , One you should enjoy, not quite as brutal as Godless but worth a watch

Just finished it.

If Godless is a 10/10, this is a 9.5 out of 10.

Who’d have thought that Taylor Kitch could put in a performance like that as Isaac Reed the white man raised by Native Americans, closely followed by Betty Gilpin as Sara.

It’s got awards written all over it.

It’s mad how Netflix can produce something so magnificent like this, yet consistently churn out rubbish too.

It’s relentlessly brutal and grim, but a stunning piece of tv.

Would make a fantastic book too.

Series tend to generally be okay, the films they make seem to have all the ingredients, script, cast, cinematography but just lack something, I can't explain what it is though

They just go for safety / blandness and global viewing figures over quality ( most of the time )

They made a film a while back - The King, with Timothy Chalamet in the lead, which was excellent and showed that they can do it when they want, same with tv like Godless and American Primeval.
