TV Series

Yeh I found myself bored for half of the season but definitely picked up and was a good second half of the season. Basically like watching Everton.

I thought the stuff in the second second silo with Sarah Ferguson was really good and engaging, yet everything that was going on in the original silo was a bit dull and boring.

Some of the supporting cast are a bit rubbish and it affects the overall quality of it too.

Agree with all that mate. It’s a good concept and makes you want to watch but going forward I don’t know how much legs it’s got will probably get really far fetched soon.

I've a few episodes left, but couldn't agree more. There is a severe contrast in acting ability between the Silo that's just Rebecca Ferguson and Steve Zahn and the Silo that has Tim Robbins and an assortment of bland jobbers

How close is it to the books? (No spoilers, I promise, if you haven't read them. If you haven't, you should.)

Sounds very much like I found Dune: Prophecy, having just finished Season 1. Big gap in acting talent between the older stars and most (not all) of the younger cast members.

Haven’t read the books are they worth reading ?
Haven't watched the show at all but I enjoyed the three books. I can see how aspects of the books might be difficult to work into the seasonal TV structure (he said vaguely without giving spoilers away).

If you want to try his writing without spoilers for this series, you could always go for Sand:

Thanks mate.

I`ve never heard of the author or the books.

I`ve just read the reviews for Sand, which are really good, so I`ve just ordered a copy, as it sounds right up my street ;)
