Yeah it's not exactly the sopranos but they're having a go. The main girl's accent is a shocker. Can't be an easy one to do well

It always baffles me about why they don`t use local actors, no matter what the area of the country they`re supposed to be from.

They cast Sean Bean, as someone from Sheffield, who`s married to a girl from Liverpool, meaning he could use his natural accent, yet they cast his sons fiance, as a girl from Liverpool, when she`s clearly not and struggles with the accent.

Why not use one of the tons of local actors to play her part ?

Or if they really want that particular actor, then just have her playing a girl from elsewhere without that ridiculous put-on kopite’esque uber-Scouse accent

Liverpool is a cosmopolitan city nowadays, there are people from all over the world who live here
