TV Series

I enjoyed it but preferred KIN, think in these gang/drug family stories the women's parts are hard to write for. It's usually the Gangster moll type or the Nag trying to get the bloke to give it up, the red head part in this was the latter, sure in real life an intelligent girl like her wouldn't be with a killer. At least in KIN the woman was as ruthless and evil as the blokes 😆
I agree i wasn't to impressed with episode one but on reflection my critism was a bit harsh as I enjoyed it in the end
Definitely thought kin was better and if you liked kin you would like love and hate.

I can't bring myself to watch the second season of The Last of Us. I enjoyed the first half of the first season but was honestly pretty underwhelmed by the time season 1 had ended.

I think I now have the same views towards zombie films/shows as I do superhero films/shows, that being that they are just fundamentally lame as **** and played out to the point where no amount of good acting etc can make them watchable so long as all the banal cliches associated with zombies still exist

Not even hyped for 28 years later :dodgy:

I’m thinking 28 Years Later could be one of the films of the year.

As Sinners is proving right now, with the right vision, writing, cast and a willingness to take risks and go against the grain, certain cliched genres can still be outstanding.

As I mentioned yesterday, I’m enjoying Spaced.

I’m also enjoying another British cult classic which I’ve never seen before - Shameless.

Superb portrayal of the lower echelons of society. I’m yet to see a speedboat or trampoline in anyone’s front ‘yard’ yet though.
