Finished the outsider utter crap after a bright start the finale was utter garbage avoid.....
Stephen King at his worst Bogeyman played by @COYBL25

A bit harsh but I was also a little disappointed by the final 2 episodes. Always the problem with horror in my view. The suspense at the start is usually quite good but sooner or later they are going to have to show us the monster. This bit is often laughable...

Faded badly, needed to go out guns blazing but it was little more than a fart in the wind.

Shame because there was some good actors giving great performances but the writing of the last 3 episodes failed them all.

This is absolutely true imo. Horror is at its best when your terrified mind is in overdrive imagining what it could be. The reveal is rarely satisfying, even less so now in an era where filmmakers think they have to reveal everything. Ridley Scott made the perfect horror and ran its legacy into the ground with needless prequels to explain something that didn't need to be explained

Very true, but it would have taken a person of rare integrity to resist the money that studios were willing to throw at the franchise.

I completely agree by the way, but it was never gonna stop at the first film.

Plus we got the magnificent second too.

The rest could be put in the bin and no one would bat an eye lid.
