I think I'm trying to move away from manufactured shows at the minute. The marvel ones being a template so go speak that they follow , friend of mine who has seen a few thought they were samey. Punisher does appeal though to me because it's not quite a superhero storyline as such.

Another couple I'm considering is the last kingdom (with the wife) , the expanse and possibly black mirror.

All solid shouts. There's one on Netflix I loved too called Spotless that's a bit of a unknown one for most people.

Have you watched Vikings? Quite a bit better than Last Kingdom in my opinion. Admittedly I only watched the first season of The Last Kingdom but I was a bit disappointed by it

Cannot recommend the Netflix original show Kingdom enough. It's set in 1600's Korea and combines political drama with a zombie/virus outbreak. Very fast paced and equally terrifying and intriguing due to it's premise. There's two seasons both with 6 episodes so very accessible - a completely unique viewing experience which has quickly turned into one of my favourite shows.

I held off watching this for a while because I thought, "Not another zombie series. Yawn." Now I've started watching it (4 episodes in), I'm surprised how good it is and, in some ways, the zombies are incidental to all the plotting and political scheming going on.

It's also far more scary that the zombies can run like the clappers. I always found it ridiculous that in the Walking Dead (which I gave up on a loooong time ago) people got caught by zombies that move like a drunk staggering around in a daze after a serious bender.

I also agree with @jaycee that they have some fantastic hats, particularly the ones with the massive feathers!

Just signed up to Prime, got a free trial again, what's Bosch and Mr Robot like?, never watched them.

Was going to get netflix, probably seen most of the good stuff off there though by other means, might try it for a month or two when the lock down proper kicks in.

I thought Bosch was excellent. I've read quite a few of the books that the series is based on, which are also very good.

Yeah Vikings was a house favourite here, even with that terrible season 5!

All BBC productions seem to have a banal reek about them. Always a bit too polished, never stepping into really controversial territory.

Mr Robot is amazing.

it is but the average person won’t like it hence why it flopped in terms of viewership despite it comfortably being one of the best shows in years.
