Episode 3 tonight, I'm liking it, the fight/action scenes are superb, top hollywood film level.'Gangs Of London' on Sky Atlantic.
Up to episode 3, slick violent and mindless.
I do love it, it's brilliantly made and wonderfully cast. I didn't have a problem with pacing as I really like the Nacho character so happy for him to get more screentime.
My problem was Lalo (another great character) expertly surviving a hit by four highly trained pros, I think both Breaking bad and better call sual (which i prefer) are at their best when the stories remain about the more human factors and don't stray into diabolical supervillain territory
I finished Better Call Saul yesterday. Loved it.
Flicking through Netflix today, I've just started watching Black Orphan. Guess who is on there? 'Nacho'..as a drug dealer! A bit of a wimpy drug dealer though, so quite the contrast to his BCS character.
Lalo's survival wasn't so far-fetched. He had home advantage. He escaped via a pre-planned, hidden, narrow, single file underground escape tunnel, before circling back. Quite plausible, I thought.
I'm upto seventh episode and the body count keeps going up and up. The plot is outlandish but the fight scenes are brilliant and become more gory.Watched the first episode of Gangs of London. It's entertaining but I struggle to take some of the characters seriously. The casting is a bit weird.
Depends where you're up to.Is Sons of Anarchy worth sticking with?
S1 E1Depends where you're up to.
There are some pretty big character moments all the way through but if you're not arsed or invested then it's not really worth it. The later seasons are generally not on par with the earlier ones - though they're all mainly better than the Ireland episodes which is probably the series low point.
I liked it once I got over being irritated by Jax. Season 1 is pretty good and worth a watch.S1 E1
Watched episode 1 last night. Fight scenes very violent and realistic. Was it an extended 1st episode or are they all 2 hours?'Gangs Of London' on Sky Atlantic.
Up to episode 3, slick violent and mindless.
We were15 minutes into the first episode and my missus exclaims it was him, watching the old black guy chairing the meeting before the funeral.I'm upto seventh episode and the body count keeps going up and up. The plot is outlandish but the fight scenes are brilliant and become more gory.
I enjoy the filming of it and I've already decided who initiated the start of it all, which naturally ill keep to myself.
If not for Homeland tonight I'd probably would have finished it today.
