I think it's in public beta. I saw Dorsey invested in it last year so I figured I'd sign up for an invite and one came last week.
Definitely the closest thing to twitter.
Rumors are now swirling that Musk is about to charge the user for click throughs to news articles.
Basically he wants your financial info for access to links.
I guess it means content creators can profit off twitter but I'll be damned if I'm giving musk my credit card details.
Threads are already ruined by paid for blue ticks getting preferential treatment in sub tweets. Doesn't help that all the blue ticks are now musk sycophants, maybe that's the wrong word.

I've seen enough that I really am not interested in what any other humans say anymore - apart from in here of course.
