Browning is going on loan to Wigan Athletic, supposedly (according to Sky). Deal isn't done yet but is expected to be completed in 48 hours

Probably the most high profile of all the loans of youngsters we've done. Wigan are certainly the highest placed.

Good deal for them and for Browning.

Wigan now managed by Uwe Rossler who has a track record of loaning/signing and looking after Everton players - when he was at Brentford he signed McAleny, Forshaw and Bidwell from us.

Martinez & Stubbs spoke extremely highly of Browning this week, so if he does well I can see him getting a chance in the first team next season.

...best one-on-one defender in the club according to Stubbs. Some accolade to live up to, just hope by highlighting him they are not putting pressure on the boy.

Think sometimes a kid needs that boost to know if he keeps going he could be a premier league pro footballer.

Could be the making of him not the destruction of him.

Good move for him this, actually, good move for all 9-10 youngsters that are out on loan. Just need to give Vellios a slap now and get him out, theres a player in there, he just doesn't seem interested, unfortunately.

Off to Wigan on a month loan... highly rated as we've all heard this week. Should be well looked after there with all the coaching staff's connections at the club.

Expect him to start this weekend?
