exactly.

push the 2 pieces of wire through so a cross is formed with the cube in the middle.
take 1 large white bin bag and suspend the wire/ cube across the opening (push wire through side of bag and double over).
between a couple of you, with the bag inverted so the wire hangs below, pull out the sides andlight the cube (so the sides dont touch the flame. the "ufo" will quickly inflate, when it wants to rise just hold it for a few more secs for a heat boost, then release.

there you have i big glowing thing with fire that will float across the sky, i set 1 off on a still/crisp/clear nightand we watched it drift toward manc for over 5 mins. it wouldve covered a fair distance in that time.

Right ive been scouring the net all night about this and it turns out it was a weather balloon . Not impressed to be honest as by the sounds of it I thought this was it . I had half a mind to jump in the car and make my way oever to the Wirral to check for wreckage . I fcuking hate false alarms me .

No mate I actually got an e-mail of this girl I know after I kept bugging her . She is a UFO nut like me and she claims that it was a weather balloon . Its being talked about on UFO forums over here . The day is coming though no doubt I can feel it .

I think your getting your hamlets mixed up. Rock Ferry is for the scouse overflow, and Port Sunlight is for the nobility of the Wirral and Cheshire.

   July 14th, 2009 at 10:45 am I saw the same thing as you guys around the same time. I was in the Howley area and they looked as though they were above Victoria Park area. What I found strange was I noticed a plane coming towards them and they all seemed to turn another direction to keep out of sight from it.
   First time i’ve seen this before, it was really weird.

   July 14th, 2009 at 7:54 pm I also saw some orbs travelling over victoria park towards sainsburys/howley area. Must have been between 25-30 of them that soon disappered.
   Gathering from this site thats there is the possibility of Chinese Lanterns?
