Hi,

i\'ve been unable to visit grandoldteam.com since the Chelsea match - regardless of browser (IE, firefox, chrome, opera and safari)...

i\'ve tried resetting my IP address - but that hasn\'t helped either...

traceroute seems to fail too...

I checked on other forums and they managed to get your site without a problem.

i\'m in Liverpool on virgin media... and having no trouble with any other sites.

the only way I managed to login now is by using a proxy server (hidemya**.com)

is there anything you can do to fix this...? i\'m pretty certain its nothing at my end, or probably not even virgin... think its a problem with the hosting company...

if you can find an answer, can you email me - just in case I can\'t manage to get back in and check...

aah which is why I mentioned it in the original post... if I didn't mention it, no-one will know which one to unblock!

it can't be blocked for anything i've done, as i hardly post... though its not much of a block if I can get around it by using a proxy!

maybe i'm unlucky to have the same IP of someone who has got banned... but the point is there is nothing I can do at my end... its either a hosting problem, or a forum admin problem...

i let danny know a week or so ago and still cant get on here!

What's your IP janus?

Fozzy "I can't get on the forum" when, thousands of others can - doesn't help a great deal.

It could be one of many problems - many having nothing to do with GrandOldTeam. I've logged your IP to our server and awaiting a response.

You'd think I got paid for this crap.

Not true. Could be your ISP. Your hosts file on your Pc, your firewall, your router( maybe both) too many variants to simply blame GOT.

I genuinely wasn't trying to attach "blame" to anyone - I haven't taken it personally that I can't get to the site, as I believe i've done nothing to cause it... and I hope my post didn't come across like I was attaching "blame"... the post wasn't some foul-mouthed rant about blaming GOT for denying me access to his site, I was simply posting facts about me being unable to visit the site and trying to provide additional information as to where I think the cause is.

I can state for certain that it isn't the hosts file, the router or any anti-virus/firewall combination... it isn't any specific browser as none of them work directly with this site.

i'd be amazed if its anything at this end - i'll happily hold my hand up if it is though... I sell hosting & domains for a living, so I do know what i'm talking about.

the traceroute seems to suggest the problem lies with the Data Center in Kansas rather than with Virgin - but if you read the original post, I didn't rule out Virgin being the cause... but its easier to rule out the hosting company first than deal with Virgin.

at the end of the day its only this one site that I can't get to - so it's not a big deal... but there appears to be nothing I can do to solve it, hence why I posted here for help.

If it's GOT, it's either because;

A) We've intentionally banned your IP. If this happens, you'd receive a "You've been suspended" message on visit.
B) The server lads have flagged your IP as troublesome (concurrent connections) and you're being blocked by our servers firewall. I've contacted them with both IPs to see if this is the case - though it's very rare. I'll report back.
