Madeleine McCann, Jon Benet Ramsey, Jack The Ripper etc, you get the idea.

Always had a bit of a fascination with unsolved crimes, and just lately I've been watching/listening to a lot of stuff about the McCann case. Some very dubious behaviour there.

It's always hard to know what to believe though with a lot of the stuff on Youtube etc about that particular case. Richard D Hall put in an insane amount of research, but he's been somewhat discredited on other issues. I'm currently trying to get a copy of the previously banned book 'The Truth of The Lie' by the lead investigator )Portuguese police officer) Goncalo Amaral. There's an audio version of it on youtube, but unfortunately it's narrated by a bot. Any other unsolved crime junkies?

my butty box was nicked out of the works fridge in 2017, full investigation, nothing; disappeared into thin air. I contacted Crimewatch to run a section on a programme but they weren't interested but they didn't comment that I had an unhealthy diet. I think they are in on it and trying to cover over the crime.
You need to put some proper hot sauce (or worse) into a sandwich in your work butty box. Wont be long before you find the culprit.

DB Cooper is the one that has always fascinated me over the years. I used to like the whole Escape From Alcatraz thing and in recent years they have pretty much confirmed that it looks like Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers did actually manage it. FBI still refuse to agree as it makes them look like fools and it seems all three have sadly passed now but evidence does suggest they did actually escape.

I was in San Francisco last year and went to Alcatraz, I thought it would have been further from the mainland than it was so I think there's a good possibility they made it, meant to be terrible currents in that bay though so who knows.

There was a photograph of the Anglins taken in the 70's on a farm in Brazil and whilst the Feds have repeatedly dismissed it, some company in Ireland that does work for the security services and the military etc, etc used AI (something similar) and they said the picture is real. The Anglins mother used to get random birthday/christmas cards and anonymous flowers sent to her. They had a mate (Fred Breezy) who was a smuggler and they reckon that he met them in the middle of the bay on one of his boats, essentially they didn't then have to cross the perilous waters of the San Francisco bay (there are records of a boat being seen in the bay that night by an on shore security guard but it wasn't taken seriously at the time) There is a good documentary about two of the Anglins nephews and their pursuit of showing the photograph to be real and Breezy is on the docu and he is very careful about what he says. He certainly knows something.

I'd swerve the McAnn case - just attracts weirdos who delight in tragedy striking a middle class family, and the grifters who feed off the whole circus.

There are some proper strange ones out there - reddit unsolved mysteries sub puts good write-ups together. Two UK ones that stick in my mind are Andrew Gosden - 14yo from Doncaster, stable family life, no outward problems, skips school one day and buys a single rail ticket to London. Never seen since. 2007 so internet era but pre social media phenomenon.

The family who were all murdered in their car around 10 years back in the Alps (two young daughters survived), plus passing cyclist, by a gun man using an antique weapon. A lot of these mysteries usually have a common sense explanation, but this one is just really odd. The killer was a composite of a complete amateur bungler, and an elite military hitman.
