why do they keep doing this

Beetlejuice is a character who deserves to be brought back. It's not like they did him to death and sucked the life out of the franchise already.

He's not much more than a bit part in the original film, which is about the parts Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Winona Ryder play. He just happens to be what elevates the film.

Hopefully he stays that way in the update. Great character who needs to be used sparingly to maintain his impact.
