We've just upgraded the forums platform.

It's quite a software upgrade, and given I largely wing this site with a very limited tech nous - there will be some inevitable hiccups.

Please report any issues you encounter in this thread. Would appreciate not clogging this so just technical issues, not general issues like - Everton still having Ashley Williams.

The much smaller and less in your face 'accept cookies' at the bottom is a relief to see too. It used to take up a 3rd of the page and has gotten quite annoying after i have accepted cookies and saved the preferences about 2000 times so far.

Can you check the difference between 'Whats New' and 'New Posts'

I was assured no difference in functionality, it had just been repackaged to be cleaner. Have a scout over it, if something is definitely missing - shout an will look for a extension.

I've never really truly understood the difference between new posts and recent posts - I suspect thats why the developers have endeavoured to repackage it - the revised 'Whats New' element seems to get a lot of plaudits from forum owners though.

Ah yeah got it now, if you click "whats new" is the same as the old recent posts while "New Posts" only show new posts that you havent looked at or posted on, while "Whats new" is everything new regardless on if you have posted on it, looked at it or neither.

Pretty big downgrade on mobile. I liked being able to jump ahead or behind a few pages on really busy threads like the summer transfer thread and I can’t do that anymore.

EDIT: Ah never mind, I can type the page number in the box that says what page I’m on. Scratch all this.
