Blues,

We've just upgraded the forums platform.

It's quite a software upgrade, and given I largely wing this site with a very limited tech nous - there will be some inevitable hiccups.

Please report any issues you encounter in this thread. Would appreciate not clogging this so just technical issues, not general issues like - Everton still having Ashley Williams.

The "Look" is being slowly updated.
Possibly mentioned but when you @ someone,the the color of the username is the same as the rest. My preference would be to have another color ,makes it easier on the eye. Personal preference though

Edit: if you swipe down within the top banner on the screen after tapping the hamburger icon, I can see see menu options, “new posts” etc. Looks like it’s stuck within that top banner area.

Runs like a dream. However, I browse using chrome on android and the navigation options are extremely poor. Lost all the options to pick what page of a thread I want to view before entering, and once on the thread it's equally unclear although manageable. As somebody has said, forum looks "older". Old layout was much easier to navigate around.

Presume this upgrade will take a week or two to bed in, can't find my previous posts but possibly the upgrade has archived them somewhere.

Maybe better coming back in a month when teething problems are sorted?

Good luck

YouTube links not appearing?

Test;

Seems nice and rapid.

Seems a lot whiter on mobile though. Is that intentional?

It is mate yes.

The little hamburger button at the top left doesn’t seem to be loading for me. Might just be a temporary thing though innit.

Thanks, will fix that.

Menu is just a header and the previous page I was on just dimmed, can't get my own posts either probably because there are no menu options at all showing

I dont understand the first bit, but your own posts are here;

I did include another link called 'Own Posts' on the submenu bar, I can add this back in.

Its not that I don't like it, but I prefer the older look
"if it aint broke dont fix it"

Had a couple of people say this every time we've upgraded, particularly when we moved from a completely different platform - vBulletin to XenForo a few years back.

I'd rather not spend the £500+ and what must be four days of my life with the aggro mate, but as technology moves on you need to prepare and ensure your on a solid foundation. The "look" comes after - this is after a couple of hours - there's only so much you can test on non-life environment.

Can't vault anyone because the searches don't work - only goes to around 2014.

Heartbreaking.

It's still counting up the search index.

Any chance of backing out to the old version?

Will I be able to see my own content or anything other than new posts and what's new

Wouldn't say "extremely poor" mate. Everything doesn't have to be so drastic does it?

I would say it needs the thread index numbers adding back in on mobile.
