back few rows of UB have the TV camera scaffolding thing slightly obstructing your view, you can see through it but it does get a little bit annoying, not too bad tho. The tickets for sale are probably those above the away fans so the noise/singing u will hear will be from them mainly.
Id personally wait for the stubhub tickets to come on sale and nab 2 of those

I’ve sat at the back a few times towards the Gwladys Street side and it was fine. My last seat at the front looked like this however:

Top Balcony is a great view!

The back rows in the corner at Park End are best avoided, as the PE roof blocks the view of the goal, but other than that, definitely worth it.

I've sat right in the top back corner and although it was a little difficult to see the other end it was still a pretty good view.

We sold the maximum amount of ST’s we’re allowed to under PL rules again which was just over 31,000

The away section (when both upper and lower is taken) is about 2,500

So that leaves about 5,500-6,000 of which about 4,000 are obstructed view.

Back of the Lower Bullens is like watching in cinemascope through a letterbox.

Looking at bringing my son to his first game for his birthday present. Tickets for Southampton game are mainly restricted view but there are tickets in the Upper Bullens right on the back row.

Can anyone help with what the view is like from there?

I have a season ticket in UB, close to the back. View is pretty good. Ours are unobstructed, but if you do get an obstructed view it's likely you'll have a post in the way of the goal. Shouldn't be too bad.

Don't go Upper Bullens at the back.
If the ball is played above head height it disappears.
