Sorry to bring this up again, again asking of you American based GOT members.

Found out now that i am covering the states of Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota and North & South Dakota.

Anyone got any further information they can give me about these places? What are they like?

Doing it through a company called Challenger Sports. Went to a recruitment day and took a coaching session and they deemed me good enough to coach the kids stateside. Going from 1st week in June till beginning of August - back just in time for the start of the season (y)

My cousin does those camps in the southeast U.S. It's a good program.

Sorry, though, don't know much about the KC area. All I do know about that part of the country is that it's quite rural.

I'd like to see them come to DC.(y) KC is one town they haven't been to though so I was thinking they might come there.

i'd like to see DC as well, as DC or new york are probably the only two venues i'd be able to manage going to.

to the OP, my sister lives in kansas city, do you know if you'll be on the kansas or missouri side? i will tell you that kansas city is rapidly growing and developing, though at the moment it doesn't have much of a down-town area like you'd find in most big american cities, mostly just office buildings.

i would definitely recommend travelling, see if you could make it out to either coast, imo theres a lot more to see

Kansas City is were our HQ is but i have been told we'l be working both Missouri and Kansas states. Heard a lot of good things about it since. Been told that the mid-west are amongst one of the most friendly in the country, but all americans come across that way

I've worked some band camps on the Eastern end of your territory (mind you, thirty years ago), and I think you'll love the kids. The heartland American kids are workers, and the rural kids are very grounded, in my estimation.

In KC, go to Gates BBQ. Walk up to the counter, smile, look at your server, and remember these four words: "Burnt End on Bun." You'll come back here and thank me. In heaven, this is what they serve as a sandwich.

I Promise. (y)

Flat, mostly rural, pretty conservative places. Sorry but you got the short end of the stick in terms of the states. At least Minneapolis and St. Louis are hubs for major airlines - easier to go visit the other, more intriguing parts of the US.

None of these states are really known for their scenic beauty or cultural charms.
