Just a thought about Bradley is it possible all the transfer talk has got to him ,as I hear people that whos opinion I respect rating him yet when I see him? his touch is poor.and he has had a poor game(y)

FOr the past 3 games in the national team, he has been, quite frankly, [Poor language removed]. If that was all I had seen of him, I wouldn't touch him with Rafael's barge pole ;)

Seconded Dylan. No mincing words there but very true. However, I have witnessed his good side when he was all over the pitch like a man possessed. I still think he can develope. Just a sticky patch at the moment.

Didn't get to see it as they didn't have ESPN Classic in the hospital I was staying in.

(No worries. Released today. Had what was called a Spontaneous Pneumothorax...partially collapsed lung. Had to insert a tube into chest cavity to get the air out. All better now.)

Read the reports and by all accounts, Timmy pulled a "Keller vs. Brazil" with a blinder.

Nice attendance. 78,000 plus.

Hey TX...I had the same damn thing happen to me few years ago. Hurt like hell. I choked on a piece of ice that I 'inhaled' instead of swallowed and 'pop' goes my lung. The chest tube was complete agony...wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Sorry to hear about your down time Bill hope you are feeling better. A tasty midfielder or two in the transfer window and put the feet up for a while and you should be good to go.(y)

I know people prefer to see Adu out on the wings because he's so small, but he's always played his best in the center as a forward/attacking mid where he has freedom to roam. He's always looked average playing as a strict winger in MLS, while he's looked like a real talent for the youth teams and Benfica playing with somewhat more freedom. Part of that is he just doesn't have the pace to blow by people, although he's deceptively fast. That's my two cents anyway.

I really need to start shortening my posts

Freddy has alot more room to work with if he stays on the wing instead of driving into the center of the defence. Only he doesn't realize it.

He wants to be a attacking playmaking mid and hates playing the wing. So his problem is that he sometimes pouts when he has to play the wing. He almost always threw a fit when he was put on the wing on MLS which is why he looked so crappy in MLS. It affected his performance because his head wasn't in the game. He's good enough to play striker on the wing in a 4-3-3 but he is rediculously easy to knock off the ball when he tries to bring it inside. At the U-20s everytime he was on the wing you'd hear the crowd oohh and ahh with the plays he made when he stays outside and can use his speed and tricks to beat people one-on-one. In the Austria match which the US lost 2-1 in the 2nd half and extra time he started to drift in the middle into the teeth of the defence and try to take on 3-4 bigger defenders (keep in mind this is Austria U-20s if he cant do it against them then hows he going to do in the C-League) and they knocked him off the ball or easily intercepted his passes (his passes on the ground aren't too great either however his crosses are deadly).

Admittedly he's starting to but he's going to have to realize that if he's ever going to be good he has to play on the wing. He also has to realize that he's talented enough to be a playmaker on the wing as well.

Also the US partnership of the future is Altidore and Freddy. Altidore is the scorer and Freddy should be on the side of the box sending in crosses for him to head in. If he drifts inside how's Altidore going to get service?
