Great goal, but that is the reason Howard will never be a world class goalkeeper, he is beaten from distance far too easily at times.

It's difficult for the midfield because Findley and Altidore are playing so high up the pitch, it's an old fashioned, out and out 4-4-2. No one's coming short or dropping in when they don't have the ball.

BBC commentators haven't noted how poorly Howard did for that goal. They keep saying he was "rooted to the spot", but they're implying that it was down to the quality of the shot, which it wasn't.
I don't know what he was doing that far off his line in the first place, he clearly wasn't anticipating a shot. In the end the ball passed within 4-5 feet of him and he did nothing. And Klinsman reckons Howard should be at one of the top 10 clubs.
