You've also got to look at how they've been lined up, the system is predictable and limited, the centre midfielders have to make sure there passing is perfect and that's not easy when your centre forwards are so far forward, right up against the centre backs and static. 4-4-2 with two out and out centre forwards doesn't work at this level in my opinion, it leaves your team exposed.

In all honesty, I think every American supporter knew this type of performance/result was a possibility but didn't want to admit it, myself included.

And my glees only partly because of how smug the yanks on here were after last saturdays game and going on about this new world order and how the 'eurotrash' were old hat. The way I see it, irrational dislike of a country can be expreseed in two ways. Laughing at them when they lose at football or finding an ex-pat and throwing a brick through their window. And in this economy, I can't afford the bricks.
Having said, I should keep quiet in case it ends up 3-2 and then Algeria hammer us.
