No Torres. I was hoping for him as well.

Findley looked poor. The defense was spotty and the pitch was also.
But we did produce some good chances and Dempsey was onside.

Overall, not encouraging, not deflating.

If Findley was 3-4 years younger I wouldn't mind if we took a chance on him...I like his willingness to run at people.

I'm slightly encouraged by this performance, even Findley's. Yeah, he missed an open goal and crashed one off the cross bar but what's more important for me is that he's getting into positions to score and causing the other team problems.

As for Buddle, what can I say? Being a big Ching backer, I thought Buddle should have been the one to stay home but he's proving me wrong.

The USA still needs to work on it's backline during the week and tighten things up.

I have to say, America are looking quite worrying now. They don't seem to mess about much in their matches and they are without a doubt a much, much better team than they were 4 years ago. If it was them against Japan last week, they'd have got a similar scoreline to today, and that's without any OG nonsense. I'm still confident we'll beat them, but with a narrow result such as 1-0.
