It's basically a toy for them!

It still amuses me that people think this, it's usually followed by "when they get bored" and it's complete and utter nonsense. They are businessmen and the ultimate aim is making money and lots of it. They are playing the long game, and investing every single penny the club makes back into the club. The aim is a big one, they want to make City the biggest club in their world. That is the scope of their ambition. It might never happen, but they certainly have the will and the money to try. It was never about willy waving, or sports washing. Just rich people with very deep pockets, good advisers and the patience to wait 20 years, hoping to build a football empire that will fill the coffers when the oil starts running out. City are nothing more than an investment, just one that will take longer to mature. Anyone waiting for them to get bored are going to be disappointed.

Yes and we would have had a stadium with a roof so concerts could take place in it.

Yep - pop concerts at our ground the place is booming with tourist - a great success as a club we voted to go there .... alls BK needed was 40 million to get an investor .... imo he let us down big time - the echo arena sits there now with museums etc etc its booming .... Thanks BK .....

Some suggestions Usmanov's nephew and nearest relation to inherit a lot of his wealth is going onto our board. So there's the succession plan if Usmanov dies.

I think this lad is only in his 20's as well, and with the joy of compounding will likely end up richer than Usmanov.
