Much I would like the club to be formally owned by a gazilionaire, until FFP is more favourable to benevolent owners I can’t see what his upside would be over sitting in the background in an ‘unrelated’ sponsor role.

Details aside, I reckon some sort of arrangement like that will be what will happens.
