I understand why you're saying that, but I disagree.

What we likely have, is the majority shareholder, making use of his contacts, to open a few doors and then Sasha will go in and sell a business case to people. Nothing wrong with that, and, to comply with FFP, any contracts signed will be at what is considered as being the going rate, all be it the higher end of the going rate for a club which doesn't compete in Europe anywhere near as often as we would like.

Why is this happening I hear you say ( all be it quietly, in the background ) ?

Well, firstly, we're a rich man's hobby, and, a bit like golfers who buy the latest driver to get them an extra ten yards off the tee, Moshiri is hooked ( pun intended ).

Also, over the next five to ten years, the Liverpool Waters project will likely explode, and will need partners to help push that forward. I would be absolutely amazed if messrs Usmanov, Streshinsky and Moshiri weren't involved, directly or indirectly ( probably indirectly tbh ) in that project beyond BMD

This is how business works, and, to be honest, if it helps redevelop a rundown part of the area while big business makes money, then what's not to like ? If that helps reinvogorates the club and gives the chance of a long term future at a higher level than we would otherwise have been, then that's a nice bonus.

a) if it's true, it's literally pie in the sky. Cash for a player who cant help us now; and at an age when they'll see minimal playing time if they ever do arrive here.
