USMNT - The Pochettino era

Crowd sizes will not be an issue come the World Cup.

People are reading too much into a game that took place at 4pm on a Thurs afternoon during LA rush hour. The 3rd place game can't really be judged either IMO

We have issues with turnout in general for the national team, but the world cup is entirely different. It's literally the only time the country collectively cares about the sport. I think people attending will have an amazing time, and I'm sure the venues will look amazing and packed for the games.
Prices were also outrageous for a tournament that no one cares about

As for the national team, turnout is fantastic when they are world cup qualifiers, which are usually held at soccer specific stadiums, which are also where the best atmosphere can be made. This just goes to show that these big "tournaments" are just money grabs in which results don't really matter - US Soccer does at least still have the wherewithal to admit that atmosphere matters for qualifiers.

I do generally agree on World Cup though. The cost won't matter to most b/c if nothing else it's a "let's post this on Instragram" moment
