USMNT

I am looking forward to the USMNT side in the future that fields only ex-FCD players. I think this might possibly work, but maybe only for a friendly. I can't name a squad off the top of my head, but it could definitely include: Pepi, McKennie (maybe), Cannon, Acosta, Richards, Zimmerman, Reynolds, Shaq Moore, Jesse Gonzalez and would give spots to Ferreira and Pomykal. It would have some holes, but what's a USMNT side without obvious flaws? I like it.

it would be nice to see Canada qualify for the world cup, they have only been in the competition once in 1986 in Mexico

They didn't have a great tournament and lost 1-0 to France, 2-0 to Hungary and 2-0 to Soviet Union (Russia)
Think they’ll make it. From what I’ve seen so far, it should be Mexico, US, and Canada for the top 3 spots. Panama isn’t very strong at the back, and Costa Rica is way down. Never know, but I like Canada’s chances.

I like him, I think they need a player with his talent level and how he carries himself on the field desperately. Especially in concacaf qualifying that can get chippy.

I also will say, I do feel somewhat guilty criticizing him cause I like a good time lol and could see myself making the same mistakes...

However, this is the 2nd time in months... Gotta be much much better than that. Between showing up out of shape after the off season and this kind of stuff, he is precariously close to throwing it all away if he doesn't get his head on right.

It'll catch up with him.

My friend’s brother-in-law runs one of the well-known academies in the Toronto area. Some really good youth prospects coming through these days

Interesting. Anything to do with the ramp up to 2026 or is there another reason they’re seemingly producing much more talent these days? Seems like guys like Davies, David, and Buchanan just kind of sprouted out of nowhere.

Not sure about the reality on a national level, but he’s seeing a lot of kids whose parents come from countries with a footballing heritage

Thanks for sharing that. I've never heard him talk about that before, gained a lot of respect and admiration for him after hearing that. Not that I didn't before, but on another level.

Makes me think this dude, I'm sure he is in someway, should be involved in coaching maybe at a youth or like u21 u19 level. That perspective from someone who had it all, to losing everything and coming through the otherside like he has is really invaluable and something you can't just replicate or create.
