I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am absolutely flabbergasted by the latest turn of events. It seems that no space is safe from the relentless march of so-called "progress," and now even this once-proud bastion of proper, sensible discussion has succumbed to the GIF epidemic.

For years, this forum has been a place of serious debate, thoughtful discourse, and RESPECT for tradition. But now? Now we’re being told that our static, dignified avatars must compete with obnoxious, looping animations designed to distract and infantilise us all.

What happened to decorum? What happened to a world where we could have a discussion without someone’s flashing anime character or dancing frog screaming for attention in the corner of every post? Is this what we’ve come to? A society where expressing oneself is more important than conveying ideas?
