Should professional footballers be expected to take a Covid19 vaccine?

In the news a lot now.

Personally speaking they should be expected to get them. Medically there is no threat and those footballers who dont offer credibility to the crack pots who will use the pandemic for their own ends.
I agree - but I'm also against compulsory stuff.

There's no tacit vaccine passport (which there shouldn't be) but me and the missus have to "apply to get a letter to say we've both been double jabbed" before we can go on a cruise (that we've already paid for).

This is the way of a tory government- they slyly slink away from a vote-losing policy and don't make something mandatory because they get their cronies in the free market to do the dirty work for them. But the morons still vote for them, gleefully waving their Daily Mail subscriptions.

No one should be forced to have the jab if they don't want to but if there are going to be restrictions in place for fans in stadiums needing them, or any other walks of life, then restrictions on them (not playing etc.) should come in.

I don't agree with what the NBA are doing though.

The Kyrie Irving situation is intriguing. Unable to play games or attend team practices held in New York State

That isn't the NBA though is it? That's local laws which take precedent. Same in San Francisco with Andrew Wiggins although he has now been vaxxed so he can play
