It's the tip of the iceberg, within 3-5 years the truth of this new fad and it's dangers will be known. Just like in the 50's when the tobacco companies denied and denied the dangers of smoking the truth wins in the end.

Vaping could be as bad for the heart as smoking cigarettes, a new study suggests.

The findings triggered warnings that electronic cigarettes may be “far more dangerous” than was thought.

Trials found that a typical session using a device caused similar effects to the main heart artery as smoking a cigarette.

The research, presented at the world’s largest cardiology conference, comes amid growing controversy about the safety of e-cigarettes.

Prof Peter Weissberg, medical director at the British Heart Foundation, said: “This important study tries to determine if e-cigarette smoking has any harmful effects on our blood vessels.

He said: "The findings show that electronic cigarettes have a similar effect to normal cigarettes on the stiffness of the main blood vessel in the body.

“Although the study was not designed to show whether electronic cigarettes can cause long term damage to our blood vessels, it shows that [they] cannot be assumed to be risk free.

"Much more research is needed to establish the safety of long term use of these devices. Short term it makes the user look like a scruffy douche bag who think he is cool but everyone is laughing at him "

Said this all along. Totally untrialled in tests. A Chemist my brother knows said there's no way only water vapour is produced with all those chemicals in them. IE the chemicals remain in the body. You'd be mad to start using one. Better off smoking rollies than premades..

And it'll be debunked a few months down the line as completely exaggerated, like the other studies such as the laughable 'Popcorn Lung' one.

Obviously we don't know definitively the effects, but they're obviously less harmful than traditional tobacco by a massive margin.

It's a bit like saying crashing at 40mph is better for than crashing at 50 mph.

Haha haha hahaha hahaha

Oh dear.

First of all nothing in that article has any proof or studies. Just complete guess work and assumptions it must be bad because they don't know the long term effects.

Second the hardening of arteries ? Hahaha yes it may do thst, so does lack of exercise, high cholesterol , being fat and alcohol. In fact there is plenty of things that cause that.

More jarg info and desperate attempts to de bunk vaping. Or paid for propaganda that only the gullible believe.

Weird timing, I literally cut right down about 4 days ago as my optician said I had high blood pressure (for the first time in my life!). Then I thought; oh yeah I do occasionally get weird palpitations.

I don't know about anyone else, but because there isn't the rigmarole of going outside and that, I can habitually take on way more nicotine while sitting around at home than with normal cigs.

Heartbeat seems normal now, but I also cut right down on caffeine and sugar too so could be any of these if not all 3, experiments ongoing.
